Sustained Performance

The national performance standard for tobacco cessation is the National Health Interview Survey. In 2022, only 38% of those who attempted to quit smoking received effective treatment, with 36.3% receiving medication, 7.3% receiving counselling, and 6.4% received optimal treatment with both counseling and medication. 8.8% were successful.
